Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Care Number (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when families use our call-forwarding and caregiver-routing service. We wrote this in plain language so it’s easy to understand. If you ever have questions, you can contact us through our website.
We will update this policy at carenumber.net/privacy.
1. What We Do
Care Number is a communication tool for families. It routes calls and sends notifications so caregivers know when a school, daycare, or another important contact is trying to reach them. Messages are strictly transactional and never promotional.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to run the service.
2.1 Personal Information You Provide
- Your name
- Your mobile phone number
- Family scheduling information (who is “on duty”)
- Payment information (handled securely by Apple for purchases made through the App Store, and by Stripe for purchases made on our website)
2.2 Service Activity Information
- Message logs (what was sent, when it was sent, and to which number)
- Call routing logs
- Device and usage data (IP address, browser type, country, and time zone) through Google Analytics
- Error logs and diagnostic information
2.3 What We Do Not Collect
- No child data
- No child names
- No direct information about minors
- No location tracking
- No behavioral profiles
Care Number is a tool for adults. It is not designed for children, and children do not use the service.

We use your information only to operate and improve the service, including:
- Routing calls and sending required notifications
- Maintaining accurate message and call records
- Ensuring messages go to the right caregiver
- Providing customer support

4. How Long We Keep Data
- Message logs: kept indefinitely unless you request deletion
- Call logs: kept indefinitely unless you request deletion
- Billing records: kept as required for tax and financial compliance
- Analytics data: retained per Google Analytics’ standard retention settings
You can request deletion of your data at any time. Some data (like payment history) may need to be retained for legal reasons, but we’ll tell you what can and cannot be removed.
